Come See How Your Packaging Actually Gets Made
Two cousins started Josh Packaging in a 1,200-square-foot space in Brooklyn, with one machine and no real plan beyond making it work. Abe Golshirazian and Nejat Rahmani didn't have a sales team or a pitch deck. What they had was a willingness to show up every day and figure it out.
That was 35 years ago. Today, the company looks completely different — a state-of-the-art facility in Hauppauge, NY, running printing, lamination, and converting equipment, with a full team behind it — but the way we operate hasn't really changed. We still believe the best way to earn someone's trust is to let them see for themselves what we do, rather than just tell them about it.
Over the past decade, the next generation joined the business: five Golshirazians and two Rahmanis are now part of the company their fathers built. They didn't walk into something finished. They walked into a culture, one built on hard work, accountability, and paying attention to the details that make or break a customer relationship.
What that means day to day is pretty simple, the people making decisions are usually on the floor and not in an office three buildings away. If something needs an answer, you're not waiting on an email chain to work its way up a chain of command. You're talking to someone who can actually do something about it.
Our Open Door Policy
We've always had an open-door policy for site visits, and we mean that literally. If you want to see how your packaging gets made, come see it.
That can look like a few different things, depending on what you're curious about:
Watching a press approval: Color matters a lot, especially when you're running a large order and brand consistency isn't optional. Instead of waiting for a proof to arrive in your inbox, you can sit in the room while our press operators run it, look at it yourself, and sign off knowing exactly what the full run will look like.
Following a job through the converting line: Watching bags or pouches come off the line start to finish is a different kind of confidence than reading a spec sheet. You see the equipment, the checks along the way, and the people paying attention to your specific order. It’s not just a general sense of "quality control," but what it actually looks like in practice.
Walking the floor and meeting the team: Sometimes people just want to know who they're working with. Come see our manufacturing facility, meet the people running it, and leave with a real sense of the company behind your packaging, not just a name on an invoice.
Why We Do It This Way
We're SQF and GMI certified, and we handle everything under one roof — pre-press, printing, lamination, and converting. None of that is really the point of inviting people in, though. The point is that we don't have anything to hide, and we'd rather show you that than tell you.
If you're already working with us and want to see your next run in person, or you're still deciding who to work with and want to see what a place like this actually looks like day to day, the door's open. That's not a tagline for us — it's just how Josh Packaging has always run, going back to two cousins in a Brooklyn workshop with one machine.
